Object Oriented ActionScript for Flash 8
Got some new books today; Object Oriented ActionScript for Flash 8, Flash 8 Essentials and Advanced ActiosnScript Components.
During the following weeks, i will work through them, post my experiments and write some very nice book reviews. What i’ve seen so far looks quite good; The first book is mainly about how OOP works for Actiosnscript 2, you learn to create a framework and work with the new exotic classes that come with Flash 8.
The second book, Flash 8 Essentials talks more about filters, blendmodes, video for Flash (the new On2 Codec) and the BitmapData API (you can create old skool demo’s with flash!!) I will experiment with the BitmapData Class alot!
The last book goes indepth about the Flash Component architecture, how to create, deploy and skin components. I’m gonna have so much fun experimenting
