FITC 2008 Workshop Day: AIR Development
Today its starts, the FITC. I decided to go for the AIR development workshop from Samuel.
He has done some amazing stuff in AIR, a project named Saffron. An extensible UML diagramming tool.
His way of presenting is badass, funny and inspiring. After being two hours late, that got filed by Ralph Hauwert with a demo and talk of PaperVision3D, we start up Flex Builder and hack away.
After getting a little introduction into the AIR API we start with the examples. We go through different classes in the API with special attention to
■ Windowing API
■ FileSystem Class
■ Clipboard Class
Learned alot(!) at this workshop, got all my questions anwered, plus more.
Have you noticed that AIR backwards spells RIA? Interesting
