Flash being compiled to run natively as apps on iPhone!

AIRJust watched the Adobe MAX keynote and they are launching some really cool stuff!

The top 5 cool stuff for AIR 2.0 is;

  • Integration of native apps and calling them.
  • Memory usage is reduced to 35% less ram.
  • Multitouch Gesture Support.
  • New Network API including advanced Socket and UDP support.
  • USB support; Mounting of USB Devices.

One of the biggest things demoed on the MAX conference is that with the new Flash CS5 you no longer need a Mac to build iPhone apps, you can create and compile directly to native C code, to an .app file.
